Frequently asked questions
When should a variation be raised?
As soon as a change to the contracted scope is identified — before the work is done wherever possible. Late variations are the most commonly disputed paperwork in construction.
Does this create an entitlement to payment?
A documented, approved variation is the foundation of the entitlement, but your contract terms govern. The template includes the fields most contracts require; check notice periods and approval authority in your contract.
Can you manage variations end-to-end?
Yes — our contract administration service tracks variations from intake through trade quotes, consolidation, client approval and auto-generated work orders with a full audit trail.
Want it done for you?
Templates standardise the paperwork — our engines do the work. Explore the contract administration service.
